Is GotAPal really free?

Yes. Listing, claiming a listing, receiving reviews, replying to reviews, your profile, gallery, and receiving enquiries are all free. We do not charge customers, and we do not charge trades to be listed or to be contacted.

How does GotAPal make money then?

GotAPal grows the directory and the trust layer. ServicePay — a separate, optional product from the same team — is what trades pay for if and when they want to manage jobs and take card payments. The two work together, but you can use GotAPal forever without paying a penny.

What does ServicePay cost?

ServicePay sets its own pricing. We do not duplicate it here so it never goes out of date. Tap "Learn about ServicePay" above for current rates.

Do I have to use ServicePay to get jobs?

No. Most trades agree payment direct with the customer — cash, bank transfer, or their existing card machine. ServicePay is just the easiest option if you want it built in.

Will the free plan ever start charging?

The directory features above — listing, reviews, replies, enquiries — are free and we have no plans to charge for them. If we ever add new optional features (like premium placement or extra analytics), they'll be clearly marked as add-ons. The core stays free.

Are reviews really free, even replying?

Yes. Reviews coming in and your replies going out are part of the free directory. Some platforms paywall this — we don't. Your reputation is yours.
